3.2.5 Edit|Paste

Shortcut: Ctrl-V

Paste the clipboard contents into the current file at the current cursor position.

If Insert mode is active (see Cursor), data is inserted at the cursor position. If Overwrite mode is active, data starting at the cursor position will be overwritten, and the file grows if the file end is reached.

If a linear selection is active, the selected data will be deleted and replaced with the data from the clipboard, regardless of Insert or Overwrite mode.

If a rectangular selection is active, the selection will simply be discarded prior to the insert operation.

Text is pasted as it is found on the clipboard, without any line ending format conversions.
