1.3.1 Editor Modes

A key concept of the editor is modes. A mode interpretes and visualizes the data in a file. Switching between modes (by key shortcut Ctr-Shift-Fn, via the Mode Menu, or via the Toolbar) does not change the file in any way, it just switches the visual interpretation.

If the current mode is deactivated and reactivated later, mode specific view settings will be preserved.

Currently three modes are present: Hex Mode, [Rawtext Mode] and RawGfx Mode. In upcoming versions more modes will be added, such as text or file format specific modes (JPG, PNG, etc).
